Net Neutrality Rules Nullification

The FCC should have thought a million times before deciding to kill net neutrality.

The net neutrality rules nullification is already in progress. Different US states have enacted their own rules while others are still struggling to get theirs legislated. Washington and Oregon are the states that already set up their laws to protect their localities.

Vermont is the latest state to get that cloverleaf. It passed the House and the Senate committee. Currently, the bill is reviewed and amended. Gov. Phil Scott signed an executive order way back in February. It is in retaliation to the net neutrality rules nullification of FCC.

The S 289 bill prohibits ISPs from content blocking and paid prioritization. Also, they should not throttle, cripple, or downgrade legal network traffic. That is if they aspire to acquire state funds. They should not follow the net neutrality rules nullification.

Meanwhile, Rhode Island Gov. Gina Raimondo endorsed an executive order. She signed it on Tuesday after the net neutrality rules nullification took place.

“A free and open internet is essential to our democracy and economy. “Rhode Island was founded on a principle that there is a place here for everyone. By protecting a free and open internet in our small state, we’re renewing that promise,” the Rhode Island governor said.

Other states are still waiting for the right time to have their own rules passed. At Decenternet, there are no rules needed to pass. It has its own, and that is the open internet rules.

Decenternet counteracts the net neutrality rules nullification. It protects the rights and privileges that consumers are entitled to. They can unlimitedly access the internet without the worry of being blocked. The internet has great speed and will not lag because of slow lanes.

The Decenternet platform restores net neutrality and protects free speech. All are treated equally regardless of contents, apps, or websites.
