London School of Economics opens an online course for cryptocurrency enthusiasts.

Does cryptocurrency interest you? Do you have any idea what it is? What technology is it derived from? What makes it revolutionary? And you are rather interested in enrolling yourself to an academic cryptocurrency course? And are you from London? Yes, you heard that right. This might be what you’ve been waiting for.

The London School of Economics and Political Science is a public research university located in London, England and a constituent college of the federal University of London. Known as one of the leading academic institutions for higher learning in the whole world, has joined the likes of top-notch institutions like Cambridge, Stanford, Wharton, Georgetown and many others, in offering a course in Cryptocurrency.

The London School of Economics and Political Science or more known as LSE is pegged to launch their first ever Online Certificate course in Cryptocurrency, entitled Cryptocurrency Investment and Disruption”, which will be headed by Dr. Carsten Sørensen, an Associate Professor of Information Systems and Innovation. Classes will start as soon as August 14th, 2018 and seem to be quite accessible for anybody who is interested in enrolling themselves, given that there are no expected prerequisites, meaning you don’t have to have a Ph.D. in Information Systems or any other doctorate to enroll.

The course is said to be certified by the United Kingdom CPD Certification Service and will require any enrollees about 7 to 10 hours per day, and is expected to take six weeks to complete to get yourself a certificate in Cryptocurrency. The cost is said to be very reasonable at around £2000. LSE’s says that, “For over one hundred years, LSE’s motto has been to ‘understand the causes of things.’ This online certificate course pairs practical crypto asset knowledge with the theoretical thought leadership for which LSE is renowned.”

But do note that this course is not meant to teach you any investment tips or tricks in any way at all, but is meant to help enrollees understand the bigger spectrum, which includes the technology that is behind making cryptocurrency possible. The institution also states that their goal is to provide practical practices, starting from the basic which is learning how to use coin wallets, understanding the nature of exchanges and possibly even include how Big Data Analytics benefit cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin.”>
